Planning: (Inspiration) Stooshe - Waterfalls

Here is a music video for the song 'Waterfalls' by the girl band Stooshe that I saw today. Looking at their locations and choice of costume, makeup and props its quite similar to what I would envision our music video being like. As we have the motif of paperplanes and colour I related to this music video quite alot because their locations are very similar to places that my group is going to be filming at, such as Ladbroke Grove skatepark and Camden Town. Their costumes and makeup is edgy and modern and quite similar to the idea that we had for our artists image; the clothing that they wear you wouldn't see people wearing on a daily basis; their costumes have that entertainment value and are visually appealing and interesting to the viewer. This music video is amplification as it adds a new layer of meaning to the lyrics which is admirable rather than having a typical illustrative music video that follows the lyrics word for word and shot by shot. This music video has definitely givien me some new ideas for our costume for the artist; particularly makeup.
