Planning: Review of Test shot of potential performer

The test shot of our potential performer was fairly basic; we got to test how the performer would come out on camera and my knowledge of the lyrics but in terms of camera angles and editing it was pretty basic; We did not edit the video in FinalCut Pro and add in any special effects, transitions or even different camera angles which is unfortunate as it would have given us the opportunity to get creative and show of our skills.

What we could have done is filmed the test shot in three different locations and then edited the shots in FinalCut Pro to make it like a music video with all these different base tracks and camera angles, it would have also been great practice for the actual filming of our music video as it would make us more aware of what we need to do and avoid doing to get good quality shots; the test shot would have acted as a learning curve and showed us what we need to do when it comes to actually taking the equipment out and filming for our music video.

In a way, the test shot we have now has acted as a learning curve because its shown us that we need to not only be going out and filming stuff for our blogposts we need to edit and fix up these videos because they will show our editing skills and knowledge of the equipment and programmes whilst also getting across the point we are trying to make in the blogpost.
